When we send transactional email and when we surface things in the in-app notifications inbox. Real-time chat pings can't be disabled while on the messages page (per spec §10).
New direct messageEmail if you don't read it within 5 minutes of receipt. Always shown in the inbox.
Warm intro requestSomeone asks for your warm intro to a job poster you know.
Mentor requestSomeone asks for a mentor session in one of your topics.
Invite acceptedSomeone you invited finished signup.
Weekly job digestMondays at 09:00 your local time — fresh jobs from your 1st-degree connections.
Privacy
Per spec §8 your connection graph is visible to every other member — that's a product principle and can't be turned off. These toggles cover the parts you can control.
Show "invited by" line on my profileThe single line at the top of your profile crediting the person who brought you in. Off hides the line; data is still kept.
Searchable in directoryOff keeps your profile reachable by its URL but removes you from the directory list and search.

Change your password. We recommend a password manager.

Devices signed in to your account. Sign out from any you don't recognise.
